Hour Building Packages for UK CAA
If you would like to rent a G-registered aircraft and do some hour building flying in near perfect year round flying conditions in Spain or in Portugal, send us an email
We offer UK CAA licenced PPL pilots several cost-effective time-building packages to help hour builders accumulate P1 Pilot-in-Command (PIC) time.
Generally, we allocate the aeroplane only to one hour builder at a time and you can rent it for 1, 2, 3 or 4 weeks. We do NOT schedule more than one time builder to an aircraft at anyone time. The aircraft is yours throughout the agreed period.
Fuel
We offer dry rates because it will prove far cheaper for the hour builder. We will hand the aircraft over to you with full fuel tanks. When you finish your time building, just return the aircraft back to us with the fuel tanks full. A BP aviation fuel card will be provided to the renting pilot which offers subsidized fuel prices below market rate.
Current SEP (land) class rating
We have flight instructors with UK CAA licences who can revalidate by experience and sign you off to fly solo. However, you must arrive with your SEP class rating current as we do NOT currently at this time have UK CAA certified examiners in Spain or in Portugal who can renew an expired (lapsed) SEP.
Time builders who hold a LAPL licence and are outside recency, may arrive in Spain or Portugal. You can complete refresher training with a flight instructor in Spain / Portugal before renting a G-registered aircraft.
Prior to flying solo, a 2-hour check ride with an instructor is mandatory for insurance purposes to ensure you are competently proficient. One (1) hour of which you can log as P1 solo.
